The Cleveland Browns have released veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley, the only passer in their training camp with a Pro Bowl appearance, according to multiple reports confirmed on 24 August. Huntley, 27, signed with Cleveland on 4 August after injuries thinned the position group. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown across three preseason games, but remained a long-shot to make the 53-man roster. The former Baltimore Ravens backup, who earned a Pro Bowl nod as an injury replacement in 2022, spent last season with the Miami Dolphins, going 2-3 as a starter. Head coach Kevin Stefanski will carry four quarterbacks into Week 1: 40-year-old Joe Flacco, already named the starter against the Cincinnati Bengals; Kenny Pickett, who is expected to be healthy for the opener; and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Final league-wide roster cuts are due on 26 August.
