ESPN said it will add the popular podcast "Bussin’ With The Boys," hosted by former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, to its studio programming beginning 4 Sept. The duo will make regular on-air appearances on Get Up, SportsCenter and other shows throughout the 2025-26 football season, expanding the network’s roster of athlete-driven content. The move drew swift reaction from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who called ESPN "Barstool Jr." on social media, a jab at the broadcaster’s growing reliance on personalities who previously worked with his company. Lewan, Compton and Pat McAfee—another ex-Barstool contributor now fronting ESPN’s College GameDay—have all parlayed podcast success into national television roles. Speaking on McAfee’s program, Compton described the ESPN deal as “surreal,” while Lewan said the partnership would allow the show’s brand of candid locker-room conversation to reach a wider audience during the upcoming NFL and college football campaigns.
