In May 2024, a bullet was fired into the Kansas City Chiefs' practice facility, striking head coach Andy Reid's office while he was inside. The bullet shattered a window and lodged in a wall between the coach's bathroom and the door to his office. Reid was approximately 15 feet away from the bullet's path and was unharmed. Multiple bullets were reportedly fired during the incident. The Chiefs organization kept the shooting undisclosed to the public until reports surfaced in August 2025. Police are currently searching for the individual responsible for the shooting at the facility.
