The Carolina Panthers have reached agreement with veteran right tackle Taylor Moton on a two-year, $44 million contract extension that includes $40 million in guarantees, according to multiple reports on Friday. Moton, 30, has been a mainstay on the Panthers’ offensive line since entering the league in 2017, starting 113 games over eight seasons. The new deal elevates him into the top tier of right-tackle compensation across the NFL, ranking among the five highest at the position. Retaining Moton secures stability for a Carolina line that has undergone several changes in recent years as the team looks to protect second-year quarterback prospects and bolster its ground game under head coach Dave Canales.
