Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers Requests Trade After Contract Talks Stall

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has formally asked the club to trade him after recent discussions aimed at restructuring his contract failed, according to multiple reports on 25 August. Team officials told the 27-year-old receiver they have no plans to grant the request, citing his value to the offense. No timetable has been set for further talks, and Meyers remains under contract with the Raiders as the regular season approaches.
