Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft, made his second NFL preseason start Friday in Atlanta. Ward opened the game with a 35-yard completion and piloted three first-half possessions, working in rhythm with fellow rookies such as wideout Xavier Restrepo. Running back Kendell Brooks capped the opening series with a touchdown, giving Tennessee the early lead. After Ward’s scheduled exit, veteran backup Brandon Allen found tight end Gunnar Helm for another score as the Titans continued to rotate personnel in the exhibition matchup.
