ApeCoin ($APE) and ApeChain have initiated the nomination process for the Special Council election, inviting holders of $APE to apply for positions that will focus on advancing Ape culture. The election window opened on May 13 and will close on May 28, with the aim of selecting ambassadors to represent the ApeCoin DAO and ecosystem both online and in real life. Ape Foundation CEO Cameron Kates emphasized the importance of selecting council members who can effectively represent the culture. The role of the Special Council has shifted from reviewing Ape Improvement Proposals to acting as ambassadors, promoting the ApeCoin DAO and educating external communities. Candidates are expected to possess business experience, familiarity with crypto and Web3, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to work quickly. In addition to the election, ApeCoin has announced an exclusive Monaco F1 Racing Experience, requiring participants to hold or stake at least 20,000 $APE to qualify. The event, in collaboration with Alpine F1 Team, is set for May 23, with a 24-hour RSVP window opened on May 14.
