Berachain, a new layer-1 blockchain, has announced the second part of its $BERA token airdrop, scheduled to distribute tokens to eligible wallets on February 10th. The airdrop targets active participants on X (formerly Twitter) and Discord, identified through an engagement index provided by KaitoAI and Cookie3. Users must register before February 9th at 11:59pm ET to be eligible. The $BERA token serves as the native gas token for the Berachain ecosystem, which also includes a governance token, BGT, and a stablecoin, HONEY. Berachain's unique 'proof-of-liquidity' consensus mechanism aims to align the incentives of network participants, differentiating it from other blockchains like Ethereum and Solana. The airdrop is also extended to holders of the Bong Bear NFT.
