A newly issued non-fungible token collection tied to the Solana-based meme token Chillhouse triggered a rapid repricing of both the NFTs and the underlying token this week. The 7,777-piece “Lil Chillers” series was minted on 30 July at 0.28 SOL each and saw its secondary-market floor climb to 5 SOL (about $900), a 20-fold gain that delivered more than 3 SOL in profit to early buyers. The surge spilled over to the Chillhouse token, whose market value doubled to roughly $21 million within hours of the mint, according to price-tracking data cited by traders. Blockchain analytics firm Nansen later recorded net “smart-money” inflows of about $67,000 into Chillhouse over the 24 hours to 3 August, underscoring continued speculative interest. The episode has fueled expectations that other mid-tier meme projects on Solana will emulate the strategy of pairing token launches with limited-edition NFT drops to reignite demand and liquidity, a trend some market participants are calling the start of a “memetic NFT season.”
