Kaito AI has launched its Capital Launchpad, a platform designed to facilitate community-based fundraising for early-stage crypto projects by prioritizing reputation and alignment over speed. The launchpad introduces a merit-based allocation system rather than a first-come, first-served model, aiming to prevent large players from dominating token allocations. The first two projects on the platform are EspressoSys and TheoriqAI. EspressoSys is raising $60 million at a $400 million valuation with a $4 million allocation, while TheoriqAI is conducting a public sale with a $75 million fully diluted valuation, which is 50% lower than its previous $150 million round, and a $2 million raise target. Initially, TheoriqAI's vesting schedule included a 25% token unlock at the token generation event (TGE), a one-year cliff for 37.5%, and the remaining 37.5% vested linearly over 12 months. However, the team later revised the terms to allow 100% token unlock at TGE with no vesting, a move that was positively received by the community. The Capital Launchpad leverages on-chain and social data to determine allocation, aiming to create a more transparent and data-driven public sale model. KYC verification and other security measures are required for participation. The launchpad is part of Kaito AI's broader strategy to innovate token launch mechanisms and improve incentive design in the Web3 fundraising ecosystem.
