Memeland has launched Moonit, an online platform that converts viral internet memes from 9GAG into tradable tokens on the Solana blockchain. The launchpad, described as an "AI-powered protocol," is built in partnership with payment facilitator MoonPay as well as Helio, Dexscreener, Jupiter and other Solana-based service providers. The integration automatically tokenizes content posted on 9GAG—whose audience tops 200 million users—creating what its backers call “Meme Money Markets.” Supporters say the service allows users to buy and sell individual memes rather than the memecoins that have proliferated across crypto markets. The initiative underscores Solana’s push to expand consumer-facing applications as competition among blockchains for cultural content intensifies.
