Apple users have reported being targeted in a sophisticated phishing attack, dubbed as 'MFA bombing', where attackers attempt to reset the user's Apple ID password. The attack begins with the user receiving a notification on their devices asking to approve a password change or login, as reported by @briankrebs / Krebs on Security. If the user denies the request, they shortly receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from Apple Support, asking for a 6-digit verification code sent to their phone. This code, if shared, gives the attacker access to the user's account. The scam, affecting a lot of people, has been highlighted by multiple sources, including personal accounts from affected users and security reports.
