Yuga Labs has announced a significant shift in its marketplace strategy by partnering with Magic Eden for the launch of its Ethereum marketplace, set to go live tomorrow. This move includes ending support for marketplaces that do not enforce royalties for all creators, emphasizing Yuga Labs' commitment to creator royalties. The first major collaboration under this new direction is with Magic Eden, marking a bold stance in the NFT space. Several Yuga Labs collections, including Kodas, Otherdeeds, and more, will be affected, excluding those with immutable contracts such as BAYC, MAYC, BAKC, Punks, Meebits, Moonbirds, and Oddities. This decision is expected to increase royalty fees by +2% for the listed Yuga eco collections, a move that has sparked discussions within the community. Additionally, the launch of Magic Eden's Ethereum marketplace has been met with enthusiasm, with the platform achieving over $1M in ETH NFT volume on its first day. The marketplace also introduced a 'mint to earn' feature and allowed purchases using $MEME, signaling a significant step towards broader NFT adoption and creator support.

I worked with @okaybears and @MagicEden to deliver the first ever collection minted on MagicEden's new Ethereum marketplace, @okay_dogs. Smooth mint process, pretty low gas costs, and most importantly, full royalty enforcement using ERC721C. Bullish creator empowerment. https://t.co/2sXtdaHVLP
