Digital artist Lifeofc concluded the first sale on YZRA, a newly introduced ranked-auction format he developed with engineer @yungwknd, in which bidding decides whether a token is minted as a single work or as an open edition. The two-day auction for the generative piece “Submergence” opened on 5 Aug. with three early bidders. An offer of 0.05 ETH temporarily pushed the work toward one-of-one status before additional bids toggled the outcome several times. With less than an hour remaining on 6 Aug., collector Phi1622 reclaimed the top spot, but an unnamed participant entered a higher offer minutes before the close, securing the artwork as a unique 1/1. Final pricing was not disclosed. Lifeofc said more artists will be invited to use YZRA in coming weeks.
Wow, what a close to the "Submergence" auction! @Phi1622 put in a bid to flip it back to a 1/1, but then anon comes in and outbids them to win the 1/1! Thanks to all who participated!🙏 https://t.co/aSpjcc1ge9
