North Korean hackers have intensified their cyber-espionage activities, targeting cryptocurrency users on LinkedIn with RustDoor malware and the energy and aerospace sectors with a new backdoor malware named MISTPEN. The group, identified as UNC2970, employs job-themed phishing lures to deliver these malicious tools. This campaign has been detected by cybersecurity firm Mandiant, which highlights the sophisticated tactics used by the hackers to infiltrate these industries.
