Onofrio "No-No" Zicari, a World War II veteran and one of the last surviving members of the Greatest Generation, has died at the age of 102. Zicari was a veteran of the D-Day invasion of Normandy and a recipient of the Purple Heart, which he was awarded in 2021. Earlier this year, in January, he was also honored with the French Legion of Honor during a ceremony held at Silverton Casino in Las Vegas. He was recognized as the last-known D-Day veteran in Las Vegas and left a legacy of service and dedication to protecting the nation and its freedoms.
