$PFE - FDA: PFIZER DISCONTINUES MANUFACTURING OF DOBUTAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE, INJECTION, 12.5 MG/1 ML - WEBSITE
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s medicines database on 27 Aug 2025 showed that Pfizer has discontinued manufacturing Dobutamine Hydrochloride Injection, 12.5 mg/1 mL. The notification ends production of a formulation widely supplied by the company for hospital use. The same FDA update lists a second action by Pfizer’s Hospira unit, which has stopped producing Dopamine Hydrochloride Injection in 5 % dextrose, 800 mg/500 mL plastic containers. Pfizer did not give a reason for either discontinuation in the FDA posting.
