OpenAI has announced a collaboration with a New York City art gallery, Strada Gallery, to showcase a series called “Strada Nuova: New Road.” This exhibit, running for three weeks, provides artists with access to unreleased artificial intelligence tools, including the text-to-video model 'Sora.' However, OpenAI has indicated that Sora is still in research mode due to ongoing conversations with policymakers and is not slated for release this year. This cautious approach suggests that Sora 2 might take up to five years to release. The announcement was made on Friday, and it follows Google's introduction of its 1M context window in February.
