CNN’s Tiffany Cross Labels Stephen Miller ‘White Supremacist’ During Panel

CNN commentator Tiffany Cross described former White House senior adviser Stephen Miller as a “white supremacist” during a panel discussion on the network’s NewsNight program on Monday. Cross said that “journalistic integrity” requires news outlets to identify Miller in those terms whenever his comments are aired, calling the label “actual fact.” Her remark followed a segment featuring Miller praising the Trump administration–led crackdown on violent crime in Washington, D.C., which he said has made residents feel safe enough to “wear their watches again.” The panel descended into crosstalk after Cross invoked a 2019 Southern Poverty Law Center review of leaked emails, which alleged Miller had promoted white-nationalist literature and hard-line immigration stories while serving in the White House.
