The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) is undergoing a markup by the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee. The bill aims to regulate online content appropriateness and protect children. The Subcommittee is also discussing federal data privacy legislation. There are concerns about the bill's passage, including reservations from ranking Democrat Frank Pallone. The subcommittee has advanced KOSA to the full committee despite hurdles.

Mega corporations are lining their pockets at the expense of our kids’ & teens’ mental health. It is unacceptable & past time Congress does something about it. I'm cosponsoring legislation that will update online data privacy rules, better protecting the safety of our children.
