Marc Márquez continued his dominant performance in the 2025 MotoGP season by securing pole position and winning the sprint race at the Hungarian Grand Prix held on the newly introduced circuit. Riding for Ducati, Márquez broke the lap record twice during qualifying and started the sprint race from pole. He claimed his 13th sprint victory of the year, extending his lead in the MotoGP standings and nearly doubling the points gap over his closest rival, Francesco Bagnaia, who remains in a challenging form. French rider Fabio Quartararo qualified sixth. During the main race, Márquez overcame an initial contact with Marco Bezzecchi and took the lead early on. With ten laps remaining, the top positions included Márquez leading, followed by Pedro Acosta, Bezzecchi, and Jorge Martín, who secured fourth place after overtaking. Márquez was on track for his seventh consecutive race victory at the Hungarian GP. The event also saw a crash involving Enea Bastianini and an incident where a motorcycle flew into a cameraman, who was unharmed. Márquez expressed his intent to close out the championship as soon as possible, underscoring his commanding form this season.
