Christian Rasmussen claimed his first NTT IndyCar Series victory on Sunday, charging from the pack on fresh tires to win the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250. The 25-year-old Dane passed four-time series champion Alex Palou with 15 laps remaining and held on to give Ed Carpenter Racing its first triumph in more than four years. Palou, who had already clinched the 2025 championship, led 195 of the 250 laps but settled for second, missing a chance to match the single-season record of 10 wins set by AJ Foyt in 1964 and Al Unser in 1970. Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin finished third. Mexico’s Pato O’Ward took fourth place, a result that secures the Arrow McLaren driver second in the overall standings ahead of next weekend’s season finale in Nashville. Organisers said the Milwaukee Mile’s grandstands—about 19,000 seats—were near capacity for the series’ penultimate round. The historic oval is contracted to remain on the calendar through 2026, with negotiations for an extension expected to begin later this year.
