A court has ruled that the scraping of public data by a competitor constitutes trade secret misappropriation. Judge Christopher R. Cooper ordered a permanent injunction to protect the subscription-based commercial real estate database owned by CoStar Group Inc. The court also awarded the plaintiffs $60,000 in damages and $40,000 in attorney fees.
