The DeFi Risk Assessment Guidelines have been released, marking a significant advancement for the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Developed by the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) in collaboration with industry leaders such as Hacken and Consensys, these first-of-its-kind guidelines compile essential risks and mitigation strategies for DeFi protocols, ensuring compliance and addressing regulatory uncertainties. Valerian Callens, a senior security auditor at Quantstamp, contributed to the first version of the guidelines, which is already being used by regulators globally. The guidelines, developed after almost two years of extensive work, aim to demystify the complexities of DeFi and provide a standardized approach to risk assessment.
