A group of seven Democratic Senators, including Senator Dick Durbin and Senator Elizabeth Warren, have sent letters to ten Bitcoin ATM firms, urging them to address concerns about elderly fraud. This action follows reports of elderly Americans being coerced into depositing large sums of money into criminals' crypto wallets using Bitcoin ATMs. The Senators have asked the firms to respond to eight questions. In Houston, an 80-year-old woman lost nearly $80,000 in a crypto scam and an unrelated robbery. Houston police (HPD) are currently seeking suspects in connection with these incidents, where the woman lost $76K.
