The U.S. Secret Service has launched a worldwide operation aimed at dismantling cryptocurrency investment scams, expanding the reach of its Global Investigative Operations Center and overseas field offices. The initiative is designed to disrupt fraudulent trading platforms that lure victims with false profit claims before disappearing with investors’ funds. As part of the effort, the agency is training law-enforcement personnel in more than 60 countries and deploying advanced blockchain-analysis tools to trace illicit wallets and recover digital assets. Officials say the cross-border push reflects a heightened focus on crypto-related crime, which frequently spans multiple jurisdictions and complicates traditional investigative methods.
