Bambu Lab has expanded its H-series line of desktop fabrication machines with two new models aimed at serious makers and small-scale manufacturers. The company on 26 August introduced the H2S, a single-nozzle Core-XY 3D printer that offers a 340 x 340 x 340 mm build envelope—its largest to date—while retaining the enclosed design, 350 °C nozzle temperature and automated bed-levelling features found in the dual-nozzle H2D. Priced at $1,499 in its basic configuration, the H2S ships fully assembled and can be paired with the upgraded AMS 2 Pro spool-handling unit, which doubles as a filament dryer and supports multicolour workflows. Early reviews highlight faster print speeds, refined airflow control and AI-assisted monitoring through three integrated 1080p cameras, although the absence of a second nozzle limits colour changes compared with the H2D. Bambu Lab also previewed the H2C, which incorporates a new Vortek Hotend Change System designed for rapid tool-head swaps. Detailed specifications and pricing for the H2C were not released, but the company positioned the model as a modular option for users who need frequent material or nozzle changes. With the H2S undercutting the $2,299 H2D by $800 and occupying a footprint of 492 × 514 × 626 mm, Bambu Lab is targeting hobbyists upgrading from its X1-Carbon as well as professional prototyping shops that need larger builds without moving to industrial-scale machines.
