This pilot program enables customers with digital orders to receive their Chipotle meals via Zipline's autonomous drones, which fly to the delivery location and lower the order approximately 300 feet to the ground. The rollout began with a limited number of users and is expected to expand in the coming weeks. Chipotle is positioning this service as a faster and innovative delivery option, with customers reportedly willing to pay a $2.99 fee for drone delivery.
