Bavarian Nordic Jumps 24% on Nordic Capital, Permira Takeover Talks

Danish vaccine maker Bavarian Nordic A/S said it is in discussions with a consortium comprising private-equity firms Nordic Capital and Permira about a possible takeover offer. The Copenhagen-listed company disclosed that talks are ongoing and stressed there is no certainty a formal bid will emerge or what terms it might contain. The announcement sent Bavarian Nordic’s shares up 24% on Thursday, lifting its market capitalisation to roughly $3 billion, according to Reuters calculations.
