Russian authorities have arrested several high-ranking officials in connection with corruption and abuse of power allegations. Sergey Anokhin, the former CEO of the betting company Fonbet, has been detained for two months on charges of corruption, specifically for allegedly offering a bribe of 60 million rubles to conceal theft at his previous job. Additionally, three executives from Rosnano, the state-owned company responsible for developing advanced hardware for artificial intelligence, have also been arrested. They include Executive Director Boris Podolsky, Finance Managing Director Artur Galstyan, and Accounting Director Marina Kasenkova. The Interior Ministry reported that the executives are suspected of manipulating financial reports to misrepresent Rosnano's economic performance, resulting in a state loss exceeding 43 billion rubles (approximately $353 million). The Moscow Meshchansky Court has ordered all three Rosnano executives to be held in pre-trial detention for two months as investigations continue.
