
Russian authorities have arrested over 90 individuals in a large-scale dawn operation targeting illegal cryptocurrency exchanges linked to cybercrime-related money laundering. The Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted raids involving hundreds of officers across more than a dozen locations in Saint Petersburg, focusing on the UAPS payment system and Cryptex cryptocurrency exchanges. The crackdown spanned 14 districts, resulting in the detention of nearly 100 people suspected of laundering funds obtained through ransomware and other cybercriminal activities.
