Arsenal cruised past Leeds United 5–0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday to move joint-top of the Premier League, but the comfortable win was marred by injuries to captain Martin Ødegaard and star winger Bukayo Saka. Ødegaard left the field clutching his shoulder midway through the first half, and Saka followed 15 minutes later with an apparent hamstring strain. The club said both players will undergo scans, leaving their availability in doubt for next weekend’s trip to Liverpool at Anfield. On the pitch, Arsenal’s set-piece prowess again proved decisive. Defender Jurrien Timber headed in the opener and added a late fifth, while summer signing Viktor Gyökeres struck twice and Saka scored before going off. The one-sided contest also featured a Premier League debut for 15-year-old forward Max Dowman, who won the stoppage-time penalty that completed the rout.
