Atlético Madrid has identified Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson as their top target for the left-back position this summer. Despite Liverpool valuing Robertson highly and planning to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, Robertson is reportedly keen on a move to Atlético. Initial talks between the player and Atlético have begun, although no formal negotiations between the clubs have taken place. Robertson, 31, has one year remaining on his Liverpool contract. However, Atlético Madrid recently signed Italian left-back Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta on a long-term deal reportedly worth around €20 million, which may affect Robertson's potential transfer. Ruggeri, 22, has committed to Atlético until 2030. Meanwhile, other transfers include Jayden Addai moving from AZ Alkmaar to Como for approximately €14 million on a contract until 2030, Mario Dorgeles joining Braga from FC Nordsjaelland for €11 million until 2030, and Atalanta signing 17-year-old Honest Ahanor from Genoa for around €16 million plus €4 million in add-ons.
