Everton have completed a season-long loan deal for Jack Grealish from Manchester City, committing about £12 million to cover the forward’s wages and fee. The 29-year-old England international, who fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola, could make his debut on Monday night when Everton visit Leeds United. Manager David Moyes said the club must add “three or four” more players before the transfer window closes to accelerate Everton’s rebuild after consecutive relegation battles. Moyes added that Grealish’s desire to silence doubters was a key factor in pursuing the deal, describing the player as central to the club’s new ambitions. Pundit Gary Neville called Grealish “a level in quality above anything that they’ve got,” urging the former Aston Villa captain to set the standard at Goodison Park. Everton hope the marquee signing and further reinforcements will strengthen the squad ahead of their first full season at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
