FIFA said soccer fans can begin applying for tickets to the 2026 World Cup on 10 September 2025, when the governing body opens the first lottery window on its FIFA.com/tickets portal. Supporters must create a FIFA ID to enter the draw, which is being used to manage what the organisation expects will be exceptionally high demand. Ticket sales will roll out in several phases that extend up to the championship match on 19 July 2026. Details on pricing and payment methods will be released closer to each window, though FIFA signalled that conditions could vary by phase. Premium hospitality packages—sold separately by official partner On Location—are already available, starting at roughly US$2,500 for a single-game experience. The 2026 tournament, the first to feature 48 teams and 104 matches, will be staged across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada. FIFA projects crowd numbers of about 6.5 million. Play is scheduled to kick off on 11 June 2026 in Mexico City, with the final set for East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium.
