Liverpool Football Club has completed the signing of 18-year-old Italian centre-back Giovanni Leoni from Parma. The deal, valued at approximately €35 million (£26-30 million) including add-ons and a sell-on clause, was finalized after Liverpool agreed personal terms with Leoni and negotiated the transfer fee with Parma. Leoni will join Liverpool immediately, becoming part of manager Arne Slot's first-team plans without being loaned back to Parma. The player traveled to Merseyside for medical tests and contract signing, officially committing to a six-year contract running until June 2031. Leoni expressed his enthusiasm for joining Liverpool, calling it "one of the best clubs in the world" and stating it was impossible to refuse the offer. Liverpool is also working on the acquisition of Marc Guehi, with negotiations ongoing for a deal around £35 million as part of a package that includes both defenders.
