Manchester United have intensified their search for midfield reinforcements, with multiple reports saying the Premier League side is preparing a bid of about €50 million for Paris Saint-Germain’s Spain international Fabián Ruiz. The 29-year-old, contracted to PSG until 2027 after playing a central role in the club’s Champions League-winning campaign, is also attracting interest from other European teams, complicating any potential move. At the same time, United are monitoring Valencia youngster Javi Guerra. Italian journalist Daniele Longo and other outlets reported on 7 July that the 22-year-old is close to joining the English club, but subsequent reports from Spanish sources said Valencia remain hopeful of extending the player’s contract. Guerra’s representatives are scheduled to meet the La Liga side on Thursday to clarify whether he will renew or be sold this summer. United’s pursuit of both Ruiz and Guerra underscores manager Rúben Amorim’s push to overhaul a midfield that lost Christian Eriksen and is seeking long-term replacements for Casemiro. No agreements have been finalised, and negotiations with PSG and Valencia are continuing.
