Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz from Juventus in a deal valued at about €30 million. The 27-year-old moves to the City Ground on a season-long loan that carries an obligation for Forest to make the transfer permanent once appearance-based conditions are met. Juventus, which acquired Luiz only last year, is expected to absorb a loss of roughly £25 million on the transaction. The move returns the former Aston Villa player to the Premier League and provides manager Nuno Espírito Santo with a proven top-flight midfielder ahead of the new campaign.
