Real Madrid forward Endrick has suffered a relapse of the right-hamstring injury he picked up at the end of May and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, according to The Athletic. The 18-year-old Brazilian had resumed light training this week but felt renewed discomfort, forcing club medical staff to halt his recovery programme. Endrick’s original injury came during Madrid’s 2–0 win over Sevilla in the final league match of last season, an issue that kept him out of the summer Club World Cup in the United States. He continued his rehabilitation in Spain before travelling to Miami on 28 June to work under new head coach Xabi Alonso and appeared close to a return prior to the latest setback. In a separate development, England full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will undergo tests in Madrid after experiencing muscular pain in his right leg during training ahead of the 4–0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey. The club has not disclosed a timetable for his recovery.
