Sunderland AFC has completed the signing of defender Nordi Mukiele from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal valued at about €12 million, the two clubs confirmed on Sunday. Mukiele, 27, has agreed a four-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League side after spending last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. The French right-back joined PSG from RB Leipzig in 2022 but found first-team opportunities limited. He becomes Sunderland’s 12th acquisition of the summer and bolsters a growing French contingent under manager Régis Le Bris. The transfer follows the Black Cats’ 3–0 opening-day victory against West Ham United.
