Google Launches Open-Source Agent Development Kit (ADK) for AI Agents, Code-First Approach Under 100 Lines

Google has announced the release of its new open-source Agent Development Kit (ADK), designed to facilitate the development of AI agents and multi-agent systems. The ADK features a code-first approach, allowing developers to create agents with fewer than 100 lines of Python code. It supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for secure data connections and offers a rich ecosystem of tools for flexible orchestration and extensibility. The framework is integrated with Google Cloud services, enabling enterprises to rapidly prototype and deploy AI agents. Key highlights include multi-agent structures for complex tasks and built-in streaming capabilities. The ADK is now available for developers to install via pip, enhancing the landscape of AI innovation and development.
