Google said on 8 August 2025 that it has begun testing a redesigned, AI-driven version of Google Finance for U.S. users. The pilot adds a conversational chatbot that answers complex finance questions and links to relevant sources, bringing generative AI directly onto the service’s web page. The overhaul also introduces advanced charting features—such as candlestick views and moving average envelopes—alongside expanded market coverage that now spans commodities and more cryptocurrencies. A live news feed delivers real-time headlines, aiming to help investors track market-moving events without leaving the platform. Google plans to roll out the experience over the coming weeks and will let users switch between the new and classic layouts. The update is the latest step in the company’s push to embed AI across its products and positions Google Finance more directly against market-data rivals like Yahoo Finance and Seeking Alpha, as well as standalone AI chatbots.
