IO Interactive on 27 August released “Hitman: World of Assassination” for iPhone and iPad, marking the franchise’s first full appearance on iOS devices. The port consolidates the campaigns of Hitman 1, 2 and 3—25 locations in total—and supports both touch controls and external controllers. Users can download the app free and play the introductory ICA Training Facility mission before paying $69.99 to unlock the complete game, or $3 per individual level. The Danish studio said the popular roguelike-inspired Freelancer mode will be added later this year at no extra cost. The download is roughly 48 GB and requires devices running iOS or iPadOS 18 with an A17 Pro or Apple-silicon M-series chip. IO Interactive’s move follows Apple’s push to bring console-grade titles to its high-end mobile hardware, and comes as the same bundle retails for $60 on Nintendo’s Switch 2.
