Corel-owned Parallels has released Parallels Desktop 26 for Mac, adding full compatibility with Apple’s forthcoming macOS 26 Tahoe and Microsoft’s Windows 11 25H2 update. The virtualization software now follows Apple’s year-based versioning, bringing feature parity ahead of the operating systems’ public launches expected later this year. The update introduces SOC 2 Type II compliance, granular policy controls, and integration with Jamf to let IT departments monitor and manage Windows virtual-machine updates. Users can also view actual disk space from inside Windows VMs, reducing the risk of slowdowns during large installations. Personal licences start at $99.99 per year, with Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers available. The release comes as platform vendors prepare to phase out older software. Microsoft has confirmed Windows 10 and its bundled OneNote app will exit support on 14 October 2025, underscoring the push toward Windows 11 and other next-generation operating systems that Parallels Desktop 26 is designed to accommodate.
