Binance announced it will implement new compliance requirements for its South African users starting April 30, 2025. Under these regulations, all cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals will require users to provide detailed information about both the sender and the recipient. This includes the sender’s and beneficiary’s full names, exchange details, and country information. The move is aimed at aligning Binance’s operations with local regulatory requirements in South Africa. Additionally, OKX, another cryptocurrency exchange, has appointed Jonathan Brockmeier as its new Chief Compliance Officer as it plans to re-enter the U.S. market following previous regulatory challenges in Malta and Thailand.
