Spanish driver Álex Palou secured his fourth IndyCar Series championship in 2025, clinching the title with two races remaining in the season. Palou, who races for Chip Ganassi Racing, won three of his four titles consecutively within five years, establishing himself as one of the top drivers in IndyCar history. He achieved the 2025 championship by finishing third at the Portland Grand Prix, which was won by Australian driver Will Power. The race also saw Mexican driver Pato O’Ward finish in last place. Palou attributed part of his success to a critical power loss incident that influenced the outcome of the race. In interviews following the victory, Palou expressed his continued hunger for success and addressed questions about why he has not pursued a career in Formula 1, clarifying that it is not due to a lack of desire to compete there.
