Cleveland's forthcoming WNBA expansion franchise has appointed Allison Howard as its inaugural team president. Howard, who currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Rock Entertainment Group and the Cleveland Cavaliers, will maintain her existing roles until the conclusion of the 2025-26 NBA season. The new WNBA team is scheduled to begin play in 2028. Howard brings experience from her involvement in launching the National Women's Soccer League's KC Current. The franchise is actively laying its organizational foundation under her leadership.
