WWE star Naomi announced during the Aug. 18 episode of Monday Night Raw that she is pregnant and will relinquish the WWE Women’s World Championship, bringing her 35-day title reign to an end. Naomi—real name Trinity Fatu—made the declaration alongside her husband and fellow wrestler Jimmy Uso, confirming the couple are expecting their first child. The champion had been medically sidelined since Aug. 11, when a scheduled defense against Iyo Sky was scrapped. Naomi captured the belt in July by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract at the Evolution pay-per-view and last defended it on Aug. 3 at SummerSlam. WWE has not yet detailed how it will fill the newly vacant championship. Naomi’s return timeline remains unclear, mirroring Becky Lynch’s 15-month hiatus following a similar maternity departure in 2020.
