Rad TV, a new streaming platform, has launched, offering creators the ability to distribute content in various formats including traditional, vertical, square, 180°, and 360° video. The platform supports onchain video sales and premium subscription revenue, allowing creators to monetize their content directly. Creators can mint video on the blockchain, stream AI and VR video, and utilize features like sideloading and local media servers. Rad TV is available on multiple devices such as iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, PlayStation consoles, and Meta Quest, making it accessible to a wide audience. The platform emphasizes a creator-led revolution, where every subscription view directly supports artists, contrasting with larger platforms that take a significant share of revenue. Subscribers can access exclusive content through Rad Premium, which can be purchased via a Stream Pass NFT or traditional payment methods, and creators can offer limited editions of their work. In parallel, Coinbase has announced the addition of support for doginme (DOGINME) and Keyboard Cat (KEYCAT) on the Base network, with trading set to begin on or after April 1, 2025, if liquidity conditions are met. This move is part of Coinbase's ongoing support for the Base network, which does not have a native token. Creators on Rad TV can manage their content through the Creator Studio.
