VideoAmp has named media industry veteran Peter Liguori as chief executive officer, formalising a leadership role he has effectively held since becoming executive chairman in 2023. Liguori, whose career includes senior posts at Fox Broadcasting, Tribune Media, Discovery Communications and HBO, stepped in to run the Los Angeles-based advertising-technology firm in January 2024 after the company cut about 20% of its workforce. The appointment is part of a broader shake-up of the privately held company’s leadership. Bryan Goski moves up to chief revenue officer, Sharon Lee becomes chief legal officer, former Celonis and Google executive Dustin Jackson joins as chief technology officer and Megan Opp is hired as chief people officer. They join president Tony Fagan and other senior managers as VideoAmp seeks to expand its footprint in media measurement. Backed by hundreds of millions of dollars in venture and private-equity funding, VideoAmp offers audience-measurement data that media buyers use as an alternative to Nielsen. Last week the company secured a stamp of approval from the U.S. Joint Industry Committee and is pursuing accreditation from the Media Rating Council, steps the company says will help it deliver “high-fidelity data” to advertisers.
